Each foliate carved console has a continuous carved frieze centred by an oval panel enclosing a Rampant lion profile. The four scrolling legs terminate in substantial lions’ paw feet and are united by stretchers centred by a carved shell.

One lion faces Sinister and the other to Dexter, hence demonstrating that these are a true pair.

The shaped limestone tops are later replacements.
