A Late Nineteenth Century Composite Urn Made in Pimlico

This composite earthenware urn features lion masks and an acanthus leaf design to the body, terminating in a circular stepped base. 

The maker, Fred Selane was a stovemaker and craftsman based on the Vauxhall Bridge Road, active in the 1830/40s.
