JAPAN.   MEIJI PERIOD  CIRCA 1880.

 Height: 12” (30.5cm); Width: 13 ¼” (33.5cm); Depth: 7 ¾” (19.5cm).

 The free standing Makie-E lacquer cabinet with an all over ‘Books’ pattern and with silver mounts.

The cabinet has a removable lidded compartment operated by a locking device above a deep compartment with three long and two short drawers below.
