The pelt in exceptional condition, the head, paws and claws all well preserved, the fur in excellent state.

Bearing to the underside a label for ‘Rowland Ward, Piccadilly, London’ and numbered 7919.

Rowland Ward were the pre-eminent taxidermists worldwide during the second half of the nineteenth century and early twentieth century. Their work was remarkable not only for its outstanding quality but also for the fact that each commission was numbered and exhaustive records kept.
