The front sides and top with book matched geometric walnut veneers, crossbanded and holly strung borders with green stained sycamore bands and marquetry stylised flowerhead motifs. The short, tapered legs with similar decoration.

This sophisticated and well-crafted piece suggest an aristocratic commission.
