These original wood block prints on washi paper are from ‘One Hundred Chrysanthemums’ by Keika Hasegawa.

 In gold splashed, ebonised cushion moulded box frames.

Although ‘One Hundred Chrysanthemums’ is well known and sought after the artist is something of an enigma.  Little has been published regarding her life or her wider works or her processes as a print maker. Most museums record her as being active 1893-1905.
