This charming elephant is depicted in full ceremonial dress and carrying two important personages in a howdah, perhaps to a festival or a wedding.

The Golden Howdah is the carrier mounted on the lead elephant during the Elephant Procession of the famous Mysore Dasara. It is the focal point of the famous Dasara festivities.
