George III Mahogany Single Chair in the manner of Gillow of Lancaster
Circa 1795
The central satinwood crossbanded and thread inlaid tablet below a turned top rail and flanked by a pair of scrolling reeded uprights. The tablet sits above two pairs of reeded cross rails separated by three groups of three vertical reeded splats. The mahogany seat rails with needlework drop-in seat above 4 circular turned and tapering legs united by a turned X stretcher.
Measurements: height 87 cm width 48cm depth 47.5 cm height to seat 48cm
