A Neo-Classical Oak Centre Table

England/France   Circa 1830

The twelve-sided top of Grey Lez Breccia marble above a classical carved frieze supported by 4 scrolling acanthus carved legs with dolphin feet, joined by a central support with massive leaf carved finial.

 Grey Lez Breccia – from Lez, Haute-Garonne, France.   The quarry opened in antiquity, now closed.
