George IV Brown Oak Side Cabinet

England | c. 1825
The cabinet with a rectangular top above two doors with deeply moulded pilasters to either side, headed by flower head panels, the doors with the original gilt-brass grilles, raised on an inverted-breakfront plinth base and gadrooned bun feet.

The interior particularly well fitted with four solid oak lined drawers with recessed gilt-brass handles to one side and two adjustable shelves to the other.

The brown oak of excellent mellow colour.
