Drum Table by Gillows of Lancaster

GILLOWS OF LANCASTER & LONDON (worked 1730-1903)

England | c. 1820
The circular mahogany drum top with reeded upper and lower edges, containing four drawers alternating with four dummy drawer fronts, all with turned ebonised knob handles, the drawers retaining gilt-brass locks, on a deeply reeded shaped column pedestal and triform base with well carved hairy lion paw and scrolled acanthus leaf feet.

Stamped for the maker to the underside of the base 'Gillows - Lancaster'
