A Collection of Royal Reverse-Glass Mezzotints

England | 1761 to 1821
A group of eleven reverse-glass mezzotints depicting scenes relating to George III and Queen Charlotte; George IV; and his daughter and son-in-law, Princess Charlotte and Prince Leopold of Saxe-Coburg. The group includes a number of scenes depicting the courtship and marriage of Princess Charlotte and Prince Leopold, as well as commemorative mezzotints produced after Princess Charlotte's untimely death.

The mezzotint plates variously dated 1761 - 1821.

Measurements: seven of the group measure approx. 10" x 14" (25 x 35 cm); two measure 14" x 10" (35 x 25 cm); two measure 8" x 10" (20 x 25 cm)
